Exercice d'application
Énoncé : Write the opening of a short story (4-5 sentences) using at least one past continuous (scene), several past simple actions, and one past perfect (an earlier event).
Étapes à suivre :- Set the scene with a past continuous.
- Tell the main actions in the past simple.
- Add one past perfect to explain something that had happened earlier.
Example: The sun was setting over the empty street. A young woman stopped in front of an old house and took a key from her pocket. She had inherited it from her grandmother the week before. Slowly, she opened the door and stepped inside. The past continuous sets the scene, the past simple drives the action, and the past perfect (had inherited) explains an earlier event.
